Alexa Chung (born 5 November 1983) is an English television presenter and model. Since June 2009 she has a show called It's On with Alexa Chung which airs on MTV in the United States. In April 2006, then-model Chung was offered the job of co-host on Popworld on Channel 4, a music show known for its irreverent and awkward style of interviews. Chung and co-host Alex Zane also presented a weekly radio show called Popworld Radio in conjunction with the TV programme. The last show aired in July 2007, after Channel 4 decided not to recommission the programme, which had been on air for nearly seven years. In mid-2008, Chung began to host more fashion-oriented programming. She was the "roving reporter" on Channel 4's "Gok's Fashion Fix". On the programme, Chung roadtested the latest fashion trends with members of the public, and interviewed fashion designers such as Roberto Cavalli, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean Paul Gaultier, Margherita Missoni and Christian Lacroix. She described it as 'pretty much my dream job'. Chung also hosted a T4 fashion and music show called Frock Me!, with fashion designer Henry Holland. She was awarded the Elle Style Award for Best TV Presenter in 2009. Also in 2009, she received Glamour's award for Best TV Presenter at the magazine's annual award ceremony. Chung left Channel 4, and the United Kingdom, in April 2009 in order to pursue a stateside career. She now presents It's On with Alexa Chung for MTV. The live, daily show - billed as TRL's replacement- features celebrity talk, live music and online interaction with viewers.

Alexa Chung seen on Jun 17 2010 in New York, NY. Alexa Chung was another fashionista besides Ashley Olsen and Whitney Port to attend the launch of YSL's latest fragrance "Belle D'Opium" on June 17 in NYC - but Alexa was doing more than just attending, she was the DJ for the event! Spinning tunes for the stylish crowd, Alexa of course wore YSL, choosing a pair of their slashed leather shorts (Gold Hawk's Relaxed Paperbag Short in Kohl Black are equally as interesting) with a heather grey tucked-in tee (like Joe's Jeans' Riley Tunic in Heather) and an oversized cream colored cardigan (check out Qi New York's Mirage Boyfriend Cardigan in Natural). She accessorized with a Mulberry Roxanne bag (similar to Julie K Handbags' Robin in Cognac) instead of her usual favorite Mulberry Alexa bag and a pair of cute peeptoe heels. I really like Alexa's look here, I'm just not really diggin' that granny cardigan. This look could have been so much better with a different, chic topper. What do you think, readers? Speaking of Mulberry's Alexa bag, it seems that the bag that was named after the fashionable Brit has done a great part in boosting the brand's sales. Says a source, "The firm is increasing capacity at its Somerset plant, where it employs 200 staff, creating 50 new jobs.It follows soaring sales, highlighted by the success of its new Alexa handbag, named after TV presenter and style icon Alexa Chung. It is making 500 a week but its shops cannot stock enough. Mulberry saw sales rise 23 per cent to £72million in the year to the end of March, while pre-tax profits climbed 22 per cent to £5.1million, despite the global recession." Seems like Alexa is definitely good for business!

Alexa Chung seen on Nov 25 2009 in New York, NY. Happy Thanksgiving, CoutureCandy readers! First and foremost, we hope that you all have a happy and healthy holiday. Now, MTV hostess Alexa Chung was photographed at the 37th International Emmy Awards Gala last night, November 25, in NYC looking stunning and adorable as always. For her outfit, Alexa started with a one-shouldered asymmetrical charcoal grey cocktail dress adorned with tiny gold studs - for similar options, try Single's Asymmetrical Long Sleeve Dress in Black/Nude, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Sequin Hem Tank Dress in Grey, or Walter's Plum Satin Crepe Dress in Purple. She topped her adorable frock with (much like Mary-Kate Olsen just a few days earlier at a MOMA event) a leopard print coat, and if you are in the mood to playfully blend leopard and asymmetrical looks together, check out Single's Jeweled Asymmetric Belted Dress in Brown. Chung completed her look with her trademark beautifully disheveled brown tresses, minimal makeup, a classic black clutch (try Zambos and Siega's modern take on the classic black clutch with their Morgan Clutch in Black) and a few gold charm necklaces (like Robyn Rhodes' Bree Necklace in Rose Quartz). What are your thoughts on Alexa's gala look overall, readers? The girl is known for her edgy and quirky sense of style - do you think she got it right on this one? Alexa Chung seen on Sep 16 2009 in New York, NY. MTV darling and host of "It's On With Alexa Chung," Alexa Chung was spotted hopping from event to event during New York Fashion Week on September 16, taking a few seconds to smile and pose for photogs. For her outfit, Alexa (always the stylish one) started with a cute polka dot dress (I'm feeling the yellow trim on the bust and ruffled hemline of Susana Monaco's String Dress in Mod Dot) under a tough looking leather motorcycle jacket (try Walter's Waxed Leather Jacket in Black), that she then paired with shiny black heels with cutout detailing and a delicate silver necklace (I think that Alexa would be into the funky aesthetic of Erica Anenberg's Junk Charm Necklace in Sterling Silver). Alexa completed her look with minimal makeup, an updo and a rich cognac colored leather handbag (similar to Carla Mancini's Top Zip Shoulder Tote with Front Pocket in Walnut). What are your thoughts on Ms. Chung's look here - do you like the contrast between the different colors of leather? Alexa sure has been busy the past week, taking in as many shows and fashionable events as possible. However, Alexa has been on her best behavior, as the British import refused to get lewd at the Phillip Lim show. According to reports, when a paparazzi yelled "Give us the finger!" to Alexa, she merely rolled her eyes and sat down, instead of obliging to his offensive request. Like Shakira and Pink before them, Alexa and fellow fashionista Leighton Meester had quite the sartorial quandary at hand, due to how both girls showed up to Lim's show sporting the exact same polka dotted frock (shown here). While Alexa styled hers edgier with her leather motorcycle jacket, Leighton opted for a long cardigan that was belted, aiming for a more feminine look. Either way, there's no question that both girls looked savage.

Alexa Chung seen on Aug 17 2009 in New York, NY. Alexa Chung, host of MTV's "It’s On with Alexa Chung," was spotted working the red carpet of the NYC premiere of the new Brad Pitt flick Inglourious Basterds on August 17, sporting an ice blue manicure that's sure to be the hot new color. For her premiere-worthy look, Chung started with a killer white button down with a silver studded collar (for a more conservative version, try James Perse's Button Down Shirt in White or 3J Workshop's Aliyeh Shirt in As Shown) tucked into a full black mini skirt (check out Nanette Lepore's Hypnotic Skirt in Graphite), and paired with a classic Chanel bag, black platforms, and a few mismatched rings (to emulate Alexa's look, pair Femme Metale's Crown Ring in Silver with Adina Reyter's Circular Stackable Ring in Sterling Silver). What are your thoughts on AC's look here - do you think her conservative meets punk look is working for her here? I think that Alexa is developing quite a cool and quirky sense of personal style, so I can't wait to see what the fashionable future has in store for her! For a recent, rather titilating (no pun intended), news item about Alexa, fashion expert Trinny Woodall groped Chung on her show recently, declaring that before offering clothing advice to the host, she'd need to know if her boobs were real or not. Well hello to you too, Trinny! What do you think - was this fondling appropriate or not?
